Patchwork tattoo sleeves have been getting a little stick lately and I think that’s crazy. Patchwork tattoos are AMAZING in my opinion, that’s why I have them.
I’m a collector, I like to get pieces when I travel. I am also indecisive, so there is no way I could pick one scene or theme for the entirety of my arm. And I like that when I look back at the tattoos I’ve chosen I can see my progress. It’s a bit of my life’s story in art form and honestly even if I was to start my tattoo journey again, I may not end up with a backwards feather, but I would most definitely remain a patchwork Queen.

Placement is Key – A patchwork sleeve is a series of stand alone tattoos in varying or similar styles placed strategically (or not) over the body. If you start with a larger piece that you know you want, it’s easier to build around that with smaller gap fillers rather than doing it the other way around. Whatever you do, just remember a tattoo is for you and there’s no right or wrongs if you love it. Unless your feather is Backwards!
