This is debatable as we have found it is different for each person. So we asked the team and some of our more heavily tattooed clients and here’s what we got from least to most painful.
🙂 Arms (away from any joints)
😎 Face (surprisingly ok)
😊 Front of legs, Hips, Back (easier to take slightly longer sessions)
🙃 Wrists, Collar bone, Ankles (gotta love those bony bits, as they say in Brum, here’s where it starts getting ‘a little spicy’)
🥹 Back of thigh/ calf (be prepared to get twitchy, there’s lots of nerve endings in your legs. Shorter sessions are fine but most people go big here and it gets tender fast)
😅 Fingers (generally don’t take too long which makes it ok-ish)
🤪 Ribs (anything under 1.5 hours is cool, more than that )
🤢 Front of the neck and Tops of feet (both of these were debated heavily, some people a super chill! Most people are not. Like really are not )
🤮 Middle of chest
😵 Palm of Hands
☠️ Knees
That said, everybody reacts differently to pain, and no two tattoos are the same. If you’re in doubt and need advice, our team is here – call us or pop by our shop. Find out more about us here.
