Fine line tattoos offer minimalist designs, micro realism, florals, script, or intricate patterns that age well on all skin tones. At our Birmingham studio, our fine line tattoo artist Sheine, provides precise, custom work that you will love.
Fine line tattoos are a trending style with massive popularity, over 150 million TikTok views and counting. Fine line tattoos appeal for their sleek style, minimal pain from fine needles, and quick healing times compared to bolder styles. They’re versatile and refined, making them ideal for intricate florals, script, or geometric designs on any skin tone with clean, understated looks. Being less invasive means faster recovery, lower infection risk, and they’re easy to conceal professionally. When created by skilled artists, fine line tattoos offer long-lasting precision and age gracefully with less blurring over time.
Meet Sheine, Lead Tattoo Artist and co-owner of Outliers Ink Tattoo Studio in Birmingham.
Sheine specialises in tattooing realism tattoo, fine line tattoo and blackwork tattoo and her belief is that great tattoos should be for everyone. She has a wealth of experience in tattooing black and brown skin tones, cover-ups and has created a space that everyone, and women in particular, feel confident and comfortable to be in.
She masters various other tattoo styles, including but not limited to colour, micro-realism and cyber sigilism and loves to collaborate with her clients to create unique custom pieces they can wear with pride.

Have you tried our tattoo butter? 100% natural, made by us, for us. Pick one up in store or purchase one online.
Absolutely and this question deserves its own section WE HAVE GOT YOU COVERED. When we talk about inclusivity this is exactly one of the key points that we know is sadly still massively underrepresented in the tattoo industry.
We are experts in tattooing all skin tones: black and brown skin in all shades. We constantly have clients who come to us who were told that the tattoo they wanted couldn’t be done on their skin tone. This includes colour tattoos on black skin. The thing is, your skin tone is not the issue, the artist’s skill set is. Like hair shops we believe you should be able to walk into a tattoo shop in Birmingham and receive the best work not just locally but in the country regardless of your age or skin tone.
So we created Outliers Ink, a tattoo and piercing studio that is the place for everyone to get their dream tattoo without worrying whether they will be told their skin will be an issue. Leave it to us. The home of the best Birmingham tattoo artists. Have you booked yours yet?
Sheine is an expert tattooist for fine line tattoos. She has tones of experience, talent and creates unique custom designs. Paired with a meticulous eye, your tattoo will be as unique as you are. If you get a fine line tattoo at Outliers Ink then no, the tattoo will not blow out. This is down to poor application. And pain is subjective, most of our clients fall asleep and it is dependent on your own personal pain threshold, but for the most part we don’t find that fine line tattoos are more painful than any other tattoo style and they bleed less dues to them being less traumatic.
Fine line tattoos start at £60 but a definite price from our fine line tattoo artist will be given once we know more about what you need: the type of tattoo, the area, the size, the details. Check this blog on how to brief your tattoo artist.
This again is subjective but you are paying for the artist’s skill. Not all tattoo artists can do fine line tattoos successfully as they tend to be small, and minimalist, therefore the lines need to be precise and delicate for the tattoos to heal well. And not all tattoo artists are equal.

The answer depends on two key factors: your artist’s experience and proper aftercare. Like all tattoos, fine line work can fade with sun exposure and poor skincare, and requires extra care during healing.
All tattoos will take 2 weeks to heal at the surface level.
We provide aftercare information at the end of your appointment. We highly recommend using our tattoo butter for optimal healing.
