A Daith piercing sits in the crus of the helix. Daith piercings are associated with migraine relief although this has not been scientifically proven. A number of my clients however have said that in their opinion they have noticed a significant reduction in the frequency of migraines.
If you are getting a piercing in Birmingham, at Outliers Ink, I will guide you on the day for the best placement but ultimately as long as it is safe to do so we will place it where you are most happy. At Outliers Ink we will pierce you with sterile titanium jewellery only or if budget permits 14k gold as they are hypoallergenic and do not contain any nickel. This gives your piercings the best chance of healing well.
Daith piercings have a typical healing time of 6-8 months. After your piercing you will be provided with an aftercare kit along with aftercare advice for you to follow.

Here at Outliers Ink in Birmingham, I absolutely will not pierce with a gun and my advice would be to avoid any establishment that does. They are terribly unhygienic, prone to malfunction, terrible for accuracy and a lot more traumatic for your tissue than a needle may ever appear to be.

This is one of the places where a hoop or circular barbell to be specific will be used. I adopt a safety first approach and once healed you are free to wear whatever jewellery you desire. I often source exclusive pieces for my piercing clients in Birmingham, but let’s get the area healed and healthy first.
